Croatia strongly supports Ukraine; we will provide a new military aid package of 30 million euros

During his stay in Greece, Prime Minister Plenković met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, to whom he once again expressed Croatia's strong support for the Ukrainian people, the authorities and all those fighting for the freedom and territorial integrity of Ukraine. He announced that Croatia would provide a new package of military aid to Ukraine worth around 30 million euros.

Prime Minister Andrej Plenković finished a two-day visit to Greece, where, at the invitation of Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, he attended an informal dinner of regional leaders. They exchanged views on the further course of the European integration process of Southeast European countries, as well as on the stability and security of Europe in the context of Russia's aggression against Ukraine.
 
During his stay in Greece, Prime Minister Plenković met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, to whom he once again expressed Croatia's strong support for the Ukrainian people, the authorities and all those fighting for the freedom and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
 
He reminded that the Croatian Parliament declared the Holodomor genocide at the end of June, which President Zelensky and his delegation warmly welcomed.
 
The Prime Minister also announced that Croatia would host an international conference on demining dedicated to Ukraine in October.
 
He also reported on the initiative that Croatia has together with the Ukrainian judiciary, saying that Minister Malenica hosted numerous Ukrainian prosecutors and all those involved in the prosecution of war crimes.
 
They also discussed the use of Croatian ports for the export of Ukrainian grain. Plenković emphasized that the point is for this to be a transit through Croatia to third countries.
 
The Prime Minister pointed out that Croatia will continue with political and military aid to Ukraine, saying that he announced to President Zelensky that a new package of military aid to Ukraine, worth around 30 million euros, would be presented at the Government session on Thursday.
 
He pointed out that President Zelensky and the Ukrainian authorities appreciate Croatia's help.
