Four new Croatian transport projects approved for funding from Connecting Europe Facility

Four new Croatian transport projects have been approved for funding from the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF), which brings the total amount of grants for 36 transport projects to EUR 430 million, the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure said on Thursday.

The four projects were given the green light by the CEF Coordination Committee at its meeting in Brussels late last week.

The project "Upgrade of the Rijeka Port infrastructure - AGCT dredging" is worth EUR 13.9 million and its purpose is to improve cargo handling at the Brajdica terminal and enable the berthing of larger vessels.

The MULTI E project "Multiple urban and long distance transport initiative - Electric and CNG" is worth EUR 13 million. It was submitted together with partners from Italy, Slovenia and Slovakia, and its purpose is to develop clean transport based on alternative fuels.

The other two projects concern flight control (worth EUR 750,000) and air transport management (EUR 592.5 million).
