The government at its session on Wednesday, on the anniversary of its first year in office, forwarded to parliament the final bill banning unfair trade practices in the food supply chain.

The new legislation is aimed at protecting domestic producers from unfair treatment by retailers, namely at organising the market and punishing unfair retail practices in the food supply chain.

Also on the government's agenda today was its opinion on amendments to the law on the Croatian National Bank, pushed by the parliamentary caucus of the Bridge Party.

The government did not support this proposal.

It also rejected a bill of amendments to the law on pension supplements, proposed by the Social Democratic Party (SDP) parliamentary group.

The Andrej Plenkovic cabinet rejected as unfounded allegations from the Opposition proposal to parliament that a vote of no confidence be given to the Minister for Demography, Family, Youth and Social Policy, Nada Murganic, over a contentious family bill that was eventually pulled.

The proposal, submitted by 33 Opposition MPs has been included in the agenda of parliament on Wednesday.
