Health Minister Nakic: Our goal is not levying additional income, but to ensure that emergencies get help on time

Health Minister Dario Nakic on today's Government session said this move would be made in order to facilitate immediate assistance to those who are in a life-threatening condition.

The proposed amendments envisage a rise in the maximum amount for participation in hospital treatment for patients not covered by additional health insurance from 2,000 to 3,000.

The changes also provide for the payment of 150 kuna for patients who insist on being examined in emergency departments although their condition does not require urgent check-ups.
