Prime Minister Plenkovic sends condolences to Swedish counterpart

Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic on Friday sent his condolences on his own behalf and on behalf of the Croatian government to Sweden's Prime Minister Stefan Loefven in the wake of a terrorist attack in Stockholm which left at least three people dead.

"Dear Prime Minister, Dear Stefan, it is with sorrow that I received the news of the attack in the centre of Stockholm which unfortunately has ended with the loss of lives. At this sad and difficult time for the Swedish people, please accept my deepest condolences and sincere empathy on behalf of the Croatian government and my own personal behalf. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, the Swedish people and the families of those killed," the prime minister's message says.

Three people were killed and another eight injured when a truck ploughed into a department store in downtown Stockholm and Prime Minister Loefven said that no-one has taken responsibility for the attack.
