Split celebrates City Day, Prime Minister Oreskovic happy to be there

The day of the City of Split, observed on Split's Patron Saint, St. Domnius (Sveti Duje) on 7 May, was celebrated on Saturday in that biggest Croatian coastal city with top government officials attending the ceremonies.a

During the procession through Split's Riva waterfront, Prime Minister Tihomir Oreskovic was cordially greeted by cheerful crowds.

Later he participated in the handout of meals in the Peskarija fish market and on that occasion he said it was great for him to be in Split.

"I am warmed by the sun as well as by nice messages citizens are giving to me," Oreskovic said.
