ZAGREB, July 22 (Hina) - Croatian Deputy Prime Minister Slobodan Uzelac met in Zagreb on Tuesday with representatives of the World Bank, the UN Development Programme and the UN High Commission for Refugees in Croatia to exchange information and compare programmes and projects, the government's press service said.
The second quarterly meeting focused on how to better coordinate the implementation of programmes and projects of the Croatian government, the World Bank, the UNDP and the UNHCR, stressing the need for financial and professional support to local government units in designing local and regional development projects.
Also discussed was the forthcoming adoption of a strategy and a law on the regional development of Croatia, and planned activities until the end of the year.
