ZAGREB, April 29 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor on Thursday received the chairman of the Bundestag European Affairs Committee, Gunther Krichbaum.
The two officials said Croatian-German cooperation was excellent, with Kosor thanking the German government, people and Chancellor Angela Merkel for their support to Croatia.
Kosor said the most important tasks for the Croatian government this year were strengthening the economy, overcoming the crisis and wrapping up the European Union accession negotiations. She added Croatia would be fully prepared to be a sovereign member of the EU, thus thanking all who helped it along the way.
Krichbaum said Germany supported Croatia's European path and would continue to strongly do so in the future.
Kosor said the highest level fight against corruption was crucial and that it eliminated obstacles to investment in Croatia. Krichbaum agreed, saying Croatia had achieved remarkable progress in the fight against corruption and highlighting Kosor's contribution.
