ZAGREB, July 12 (Hina) - Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor on Monday received the coordinator of union federations, Ozren Matijasevic, and the Croatian Association of Trade Unions shop steward for the region of Dalmatia, Jozo Maric.
They talked about the protests of Salonit workers. Matijasevic and Maric told the PM the asbestos factory's premises were not being decontaminated good or quickly enough. Kosor said she would discuss the matter with Justice Minister Drazen Bosnjakovic tomorrow. They also talked about the indemnification of workers employed with the company when it went into receivership.
The three officials also talked about the functioning of the Economic and Social Council (GSV) and were agreed about the need to resume social dialogue. A meeting on the resumption of the GSV's work is expected to be held soon.
The GSV president, Transport Minister Bozidar Kalmeta, also attended the talks.
