Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic, currently on a working visit to Australia, commented on the verdict in the Fimi Media corruption case on Tuesday, saying that he would "comment on this non-final verdict only because of media interest."
"I don't wish anyone any harm. Let the court make its decision, while the public will have their own opinion," Milanovic was quoted as saying in a statement published on the government's website. He announced a more detailed comment after the verdict becomes final, following the appeal process before the Supreme Court.
"All this does not do good to us as a society and the question is whether we are better people and a better society after this," the prime minister concluded.
