"It is with deep regret that I received the news of attacks on a cultural centre and a synagogue in Copenhagen. Our thoughts are with the families of those killed and wounded and with all the people who were hurt by these horrific acts of violence," Milanovic said in his message.
"On this tragic occasion, allow me to express, on behalf of the government and my own behalf, my deepest condolences and sympathies to you and the Danish people," he added.
Two men were killed in Copenhagen at the weekend in terrorist attacks on a synagogue and an event promoting free speech. Police killed the suspected attacker, 22-year-old Dane Omar el-Hussein, and arrested two persons suspected of helping him.
