The project will improve the international visibility of Croatia's researchers and increase accessibility and use of internationally relevant electronic sources of scientific and expert information in order to upgrade the quality of their scientific works, it was said.
Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic congratulated all those who contributed to the project and expressed hope that Croatia will utilise all those projects available from the European Union and secure their compatibility with Croatia's budget.
Next year the Science and Education Ministry will have HRK 12.5 billion at its disposal which is obvious progress compared to earlier periods, Plenkovic said and announced that the percentage allocated for research and education will be increased when economic and financial preconditions are reached.
Plenkovic said that he expected the education reform to continue now that public debate has been finalised during which a large number of proposals were submitted.
The reform has to be conducted in an inclusive and pluralistic manner with the contribution of the academic community and the Croatian Academy of Arts and Sciences, he said.
