"GET A JOB IN CROATIA" We opened 60.000 jobs, we continue on that trajectory

The Labour and Pension System Ministry and the Croatian Employment Service on Tuesday launched a campaign called " Get a job in Croatia" in downtown Zagreb and another 50 locations across the country, to help the unemployed come back to the labour market, find a job and stay in Croatia.

The campaign, financed by the European Social Fund, was launched to inform those without jobs, employers and other interested parties about possibilities of using measures of the active employment policy and employment incentives.

This year, the government has secured more than HRK 2.6 billion for employment incentives.

"Croatia now has 143,000 unemployed people, which is the smallest number recorded since 1990 and the fact that over the past five years we have reduced the number of the jobless among young people to 22 percent is exceptionally good and encouraging", Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic said at the campaign launch in Zagreb.

A total of HRK 1.6 billion has been allocated for the implementation of the active employment policy and HRK 900 million has been secured from the European Social Fund for the implementation of specialised programmes, such as the "Make a Wish"  programme aimed at providing women with employment.
