As soon as the government announced last November that it would allow companies to pay bonuses up to 7,500 kuna a year which are not subject to tax, the Croatian Employers' Association (HUP) stated on its website that nearly three quarters of Croatian employers would pay higher year-end bonuses to their employees based on new rules on non-taxable receipts which came into force on December 1.
Addressing the press on the margins of a conference on the impact of the tax policy on innovations and development, Maric said that the funds which the government is supposed to set aside for the enforcement of guarantees for the ailing Uljanik Group may increase by an additional one billion kuna in 2019.
Asked about the statement of a Sberbank executive that this Russian lender is set to sell its stake in Agrokor, Maric said that he sa the information in the media and that he would not comment on the developments in Agrokor.
