After meeting the Mayor of Prelog, Ljubomir Kolarek, in the Town Council, the prime minister, accompanied by Defence Minister Damir Krsticevic and Economy, Entrepreneurship and Crafts Minister Darko Horvat, visited the Enterprise Zone North, which is under construction.
During a visit to Sestan Busch, the manufacturer of military helmets and protective vests, the company's CEO Alojzije Sestan presented a new innovative manufacturing plant where the company aims to design a bullet-proof helmet, which has not been accomplished anywhere in the world yet.
Sestan said that Croatia has a small, but very good defence industry, ranking 26th among global exporters of military equipment. He praised the ministers Krsticevic and Horvat for their efforts in agreeing deals for the defence industry, and presented PM Plenkovic with a helmet.
Plenkovic also visited the multinational company Hilding Anders, the manufacturer of mattresses and mattress covers. The company is a member of the Hilding Anders Group which operates in 15 countries.
The company's general manager for Southeast Europe, Damir Matijevic, said that the company has 730 employees and that last year it generated €45 million in revenues.
In Mursko Sredisce, the prime minister visited works on the Fijolica kindergarten and a plant of the Sobocan Interijeri company, which over the last 19 years has developed into a leading European companies specialising in business and office furniture and equipment.
