Currently, private protection is performed by 253 companies for physical and technical protection, 115 technical protection businesses and 147 internal security guard services with 16,500 active persons authorised to do private protection jobs.
The bill introduces the possibility of ensuring and monitoring a wider spectrum of goods in road transport and allows businesses to provide bodyguard services. It also steps up additional surveillance via security clearance not only of responsible persons but everyone entered into the register of company founders.
Gov't gives additional HRK 150 m for completion of construction of new Pula Hospital
The government on Thursday decided to allocate an additional 150 million kuna for the completion of the construction and equipment of a new hospital building in the biggest Istrian city of Pula.
The financial support is an important message to Pula and Istria County, Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic said at the government's meeting in Zagreb.
The cabinet thus endorsed a state guarantee for the Pula General Hospital's loan in the Erste&Steiermaerkische Bank in Rijeka, and the purpose of that borrowing is to complete the construction and equipment of the new hospital building.
Health Minister Milan Kujundzic recalled that this government had already granted HRK 600 million for the hospital project in Pula.
The government also financially supported the procurement of HRK 5 million worth of equipment for the DNA laboratory of the Institute of Forensic Medicine at the medical school in Zagreb.
Report on implementing Reform Programme in May-Oct period endorsed
A report on the implementation of this year's National Reform Program in the period from May to October was adopted by the government on Thursday.
The main goal of the National Programme, defined by the Andrej Plenkovic cabinet in April, is to boost the national economy's competitiveness with the projected growth of 2.5 % in 2019.
The document identifies headway made in the fulfillment of the recommendations proposed by the EU Council, reform priorities and also progress made in economic policies as well as measures necessary to accomplish targets under the Europe 2020 Strategy.
As for the May-October 2019 period, Finance Minister Zdravko Maric said that of 100 outlined activities, 22 were performed in the entirety, and the implementation of 78 activities was under way.
