The agreements refer, among other things, to the construction of an IT park in Osijek, establishment of infrastructure for regional competence centres as part of the process of reform of vocational education, projects promoting the quality of community welfare services as well as local infrastructure projects.
Pavic said that with the agreements signed today, the amount of EU funding absorbed by Osijek-Baranja County exceeded five billion kuna, which made it one of the three most successful counties in terms of absorption of EU funds.
He said that in the next EU financial perspective, Croatia would have more than €20 billion at its disposal and that this would help further develop the government's project "Slavonia, Baranja and Srijem", calling on local officials to start preparing projects on time.
