The most important topic here is to help Ukraine withstand Russia's aggression and realize its freedom, Prime Minister Andrej Plenković said at the International Security Conference in Munich.

The conference gathers more than 450 participants, among them forty-five presidents of states and governments, as well as leaders of international organizations. The topic of the meeting is the war in Ukraine and other security issues. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also addressed the gathering via video link.

"The most important topic here is related to the Russia's aggression against Ukraine and further help, support, unity, above all, of the western part of the international community to help Ukraine withstand that aggression and achieve its freedom," said Prime Minister Plenković.

He added that the topic was discussed last night at a dinner attended by State Secretary Blinken, along with several prime ministers, and yesterday's messages sent by Presidents Macron and Scholz were also on that track.

"It is good to maintain unity in support," said the prime minister.

Plenković announced that he will talk about the security situation in our neighbourhood at today's panel. The main message that Croatia will send is a message of political stability.

The Croatian model of political stability enabled us to achieve goals such as entry into the Eurozone and the Schengen area, economic growth and solutions and models for helping people in crisis.
