Croatia's exports in first ten months up 10.8 pct

Croatian commodity exports in the first ten months of 2015 amounted HRK 72.09 billion, up 10.8 per cent compared with the corresponding period of 2014, while imports stood at HRK 116.4 billion, an increase of 5.7%, according to preliminary figures released by the National Bureau of Statistics.

Foreign trade deficit at the end of October amounted to HRK 44.75 billion, which is 1.6% less on the year. The coverage of imports by exports was 61.17%, up 2.8 percentage points.
 
Exports to European Union member states in the first ten months was up 14.9% on the year, totalling HRK 47.74 billion. Imports rose by 8.8%, reaching HRK 90.6 billion. Exports to non-EU members rose by 3.6% to HRK 24.35 billion, but imports declined by 3.6% to HRK 26.24 billion.
