Croatian PM meets with Israeli defence minister

Relations between Croatia and Israel are excellent, Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic and Israeli Defence Minister Avigdor Lieberman said at a meeting in Zagreb on Tuesday, expressing a wish for stronger economic and defence cooperation between the two countries.

Plenkovic and Lieberman discussed the two countries' cooperation in the prevention of wildfires in light of the participation of a Croatian fire-fighting squadron in fighting wildfires in Israel in November 2016 and June 2017.
