Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic on Monday received the President of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY), Judge Carmel Agius, for talks on the residual mechanism of the UN tribunal, the prime minister's office said in a press release.

Plenkovic said Croatia supported the transition of functions and responsibilities to the International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals as the Hague-based ICTY was nearing its closure.
