Croatian PM, Ukrainian deputy PM hold talks

Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic met in Zagreb on Monday with Ukraine's Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze, expressing Croatia's support to Ukraine's reform efforts and European agenda.

The meeting focused on the situation in Ukraine and reform efforts of the Ukrainian government in the context of its European and Euro-Atlantic ambitions.

Plenkovic said Croatia supported reforms and the implementation of the European agenda, and expressed satisfaction with the activities of the task force for cooperation between Croatia and Ukraine.

The talks also focused on the two countries' economic cooperation with emphasis on the LNG terminal project on the northern Croatian island of Krk.

One of the topics addressed at the meeting was Croatia's coming presidency of the Council of Europe.
