First Deputy Prime Minister Karamarko meets Albanian defence minister

First Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Karamarko met with Albanian Defence Minister Mimi Kodheli on Thursday.

The two officials said they were pleased with the relations between the two countries, highlighting the cooperation in the implementation of the US-Adriatic Charter, the cooperation between the Croatian and Albanian defence ministries, regional cooperation, and preparations for a NATO summit in Warsaw.

Karamarko pledged Croatia's support to Albania in the European Union integration process.

The two officials said Croatian-Albanian political relations were good and that economic cooperation should be strongly encouraged.
