Gov't approves humanitarian aid for Gaza

The Croatian government adopted a decision to send humanitarian aid to the civilian population of Gaza, donating 400 tonnes of wheat flour, following the worsening of the humanitarian situation and an appeal by the Red Cross Croatia to the Agriculture Ministry.

"The needs for urgent humanitarian assistance in Gaza are estimated at US$1.2 billion for at least 2.2 million people in Gaza. In the context of this difficult situation, the Egyptian Red Crescent has been preparing a camp for 7,000 people for whom basic foodstuffs need to be secured," Foreign and European Affairs Minister Gordan Grlić Radman said.
