Government issues statement after closed part of session
ZAGREB, Dec 17 (Hina) - At the closed part of Thursday's session, the Croatian government adopted a regulation on amending the Visa System Regulation, which proposes revoking visa requirements for diplomatic passport bearers from Qatar, Oman, the United Arab Emirates, and Vietnam.
In view of further alignment with the European Union's visa policy, the government has proposed cancelling visa requirements for entry, transit and 90-day sojourn in Croatia for citizens of Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, the Bahamas, Montenegro, Mauritius, Seychelles, Serbia, and Saint Kitts and Nevis.
The government adopted regulations on amendments to the Foreign Exchange Transactions Act and to a regulation on the safety of natural gas supplies.
The government adopted a conclusion to adopt a letter on the membership of the Agency for Public Private Partnership in the European Public Private Partnership Expertise Centre (EPEC), as well as a memorandum on participation in the EPEC.
The government also adopted a decision to launch the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Croatian and Omani governments on cooperation in tourism, as well as a decision to launch the signing of an agreement between the Croatian and French governments on mutual protection of classified data.
Also adopted was a conclusion on a joint statement between delegations of Croatia and the Italian province Molise to sign a protocol aimed at strengthening cooperation in areas of common interest.
The government relieved Djuro Popijac, Djurdja Adlesic, Ivan Suker, Petar Cobankovic, Radovan Fuchs, and Bozidar Pankretic as its members of the National Competitiveness Council, and appointed as its new members of the council Economy and Labour Minister Popijac, Finance Minister Suker, Agriculture, Fisheries and Rural Development Minister Cobankovic, Justice Minister Ivan Simonovic, and Science and Education Minister Fuchs.
