Meeting held to discuss Viktor Lenac bankruptcy plan

ZAGREB, Sept 11 (Hina) - A meeting was held at government headquarters in Zagreb on Tuesday to discuss a proposed bankruptcy plan for the Viktor Lenac shipyard.

The meeting, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Damir Polancec, was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Finance, the Government Office for Social Partnership, the trade unions active within the shipyard, the Tankerska Plovidba shipping company, the Uljanik shipyard and RLE Obrt, and by Viktor Lenac's receiver.

All those in attendance agreed with the need to amend the existing bankruptcy plan. The trade union representatives fully supported the proposed amendments and the bid by Uljanik and Tankerska Plovidba to acquire a stake in the Rijeka shipyard.

Also agreed at the meeting was a model of sale of the remaining government claims to Uljanik and Tankerska Plovidba.

Deadlines for the completion of the bankruptcy procedure are to be fixed at the next meeting.
