Plenković: It has been agreed to reform HGK
Prime Minister Andrej Plenković said on Tuesday that the ruling majority had agreed to reform the system of the Croatian Chamber of Commerce (HGK).
"We have agreed that the parlimentary majority will request that a conclusion be adopted so that the government, that is, the Economy Ministry proposes a reform of the HGK system to the parliament within six months," Plenković told reporters after a meeting of the ruling majority.
Answering reporters' questions about the HGK and the Bridge party, he denied claims that the Bridge party had forced them to launch the reform process.
He said that the Bridge party was a demagogic, anti-European group who copied the idea from HGK's competition, an association called the Voice of Entrepreneurs which encourages people to protest, disobey and violate measures.
He confirmed that the government's decision on the completion of the motorway to Sisak would be adopted on Thursday.
The project has all the necessary documentation and we have agreed to secure financial resources from the HAC motorway operator, about HRK 325 million for the motorway between Lekenik and Sisak and then HRK 60 million for a road from the Sisak junction to the centre of Sisak. Therefore, in the next two years, we will connect Sisak with Zagreb, which is a great message to Banovina and great commitment to the development of that county, said Prime Minister Plenković.
