PM Plenkovic received Mufti Aziz Hasanovic

Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic on Monday met with Mufti Aziz Hasanovic, the leader of  the Islamic community in Croatia, and on that occasion he expressed his satisfaction with the standards achieved in the relations between the state and the Islamic community in the country.

Mufti Hasanovic presented the current issues and activities by the Islamic community, saying that cooperation based on the implementation of the agreement on topics of common interest, is very good, the government's press office said in a statement. 

The dignitary recalled that the Croatian model of regulating relations between the state and Islamic community is a positive example for other countries in Europe.

The talks focused on cooperation with regard to integrating people with international protection, particularly unaccompanied children and youth.

The meeting was also attended by the president of the Commission for Relations with Religious Communities, Justice Minister Drazen Bosnjakovic, the press release said.
