Polish defence minister meets Deputy PM Adlesic, President Mesic

Croatia's Deputy Prime Minister Djurdja Adlesic on Tuesday held talks with Polish Defence Minister Bogdan Klich, at which she expressed satisfaction with the good relations between the two countries which were free of any outstanding issues, the Croatian government said in a statement.

Adlesic thanked Klich and the Polish government for their support for Croatia's integration with Euro-Atlantic associations and its accession negotiations. Poland is an important and influential NATO member-country that has gained experience in numerous peace missions and this experience will be valuable in its future cooperation with Croatia, she said.

Klich commended reforms implemented so far in Croatia in the process of integration with the EU and NATO and underlined Croatia's role as a factor of stability and peace in Southeast Europe.

Klich said that Poland was participating in the peace missions in Bosnia and Kosovo and that it counted on its partnership with Croatia, as a future NATO member, in building regional and global peace and security.
