Prime Minister holds talks with Montenegrin parliament speaker
ZAGREB, Oct 7 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor on Wednesday held talks with Montenegrin Parliament Speaker Rako Krivokapic.
At the talks, the two officials confirmed that Croatia and Montenegro had very developed bilateral relations.
Kosor and Krivokapic expressed satisfaction with the intensity of parliamentary cooperation and underlined the need for a stronger cooperation in the economy.
Kosor thanked the government of Montenegro for recognising Croatia as an important economic partner, the confirmation of which was the construction of the Bar-Boljare highway, a project in which Croatian companies are engaged.
The highway construction is a true indicator of excellent political relations between Croatia and Montenegro, Krivokapic said.
In the context of Croatia's entering the European Union, Kosor said that after the successful unblocking of Croatia's entry negotiation, Croatia's objective was to wrap up technical negotiations by the end of the first half of 2010.
She also said Croatia was prepared to share its experience from the process of entering European and Euro-Atlantic associations with Montenegro, adding that Montenegro would enjoy Croatia's full support on that path.
The talks also focused on the work of a joint Croatian-Montenegrin commission entrusted with preparing the legal proceedings before the International Court of Justice regarding the two countries' efforts to demarcate their border.
Kosor and Krivokapic also talked about cooperation in tourism, science and education.
