Prime Minister meets Grand duke of Luxembourg

ZAGREB, June 10 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor met in Zagreb on Thursday with Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg.

Kosor thanked Luxembourg for supporting Croatia in joining NATO and especially for supporting it on the path to European Union membership.

"Croatia has entered the crucial, final stage of negotiations," Kosor said, expressing confidence that Zagreb would complete the technical part of the negotiations by the end of this year. She added that Croatia expected to open the three remaining negotiation chapters soon.

The Prime Minister also spoke of the ongoing fight against corruption, strengthening the economy and overcoming the economic crisis. In that context, she and the Grand Duke discussed ways of strengthening economic cooperation between Croatia and Luxembourg.

Kosor welcomed a Luxembourg business delegation and the holding of a Croatian-Luxembourg Business Forum.

Grand Duke Henri expressed his support for Croatia's EU membership bid.

Also discussed were Croatia-Slovenian talks on their border arbitration agreement, with the guests from Luxembourg commending the efforts made in that regard by Prime Minister Kosor and her government.

Kosor invited Luxembourg tourists to visit Croatia's Adriatic coast.
