Prime Minister meets representative of G2 Investment Group

ZAGREB, June 12 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor on Saturday met with the chairman of the Management Board of G2 Investment Group, J. Todd Morley.

The meeting was also attended by Economy Minister Djuro Popijac, Tourism Minister Damir Bajs, Istria County Prefect Ivan Jakovcic, Pula Mayor Boris Miletic, and the director of the Brijuni Rivijera company, Ratomir Ivicic.

G2 Investment Group CEO Morley presented a new concept of investment in Istria County covering culture, tourism, sports, housing construction, commerce, etc.

He also spoke of the possibility of building a Guggenheim museum on the east coast of the Istria peninsula and in Pula, an investment worth around one billion US dollars.

The idea is to build the museum on the premises of a former military barracks or ports that are no longer in use.

Kosor strongly supported the said projects, underlining that new investments in Croatia were one of the most important elements of the government's economic recovery plan.

It was stated at the meeting that the government and the authorities of Istria County and Pula supported the projects.

It was agreed that talks on the projects should continue through the ministries of economy, tourism and environmental protection.
