Prime Minister receives EBRD president

ZAGREB, Nov 20 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor on Friday met European Bank for Reconstruction and Development president Thomas Mirow to discuss an annual meeting of the EBRD General Assembly which Zagreb will host next May.
Finance Minister Ivan Suker and Foreign Minister Gordan Jandrokovic attended the meeting.

Kosor said she was satisfied with Croatia's cooperation with the EBRD to date.

Also in May 2010, Croatia will host a meeting of prime ministers of countries within the South-East European Cooperation Process.

Mirow spoke of the EBRD's activities in Croatia, saying Croatia was the leading country in the region.

He said the EBRD was willing to support future projects in Croatia, underlining investments in the infrastructure and the environment.

Kosor informed Mirow that the Croatian parliament ratified a border arbitration agreement with Slovenia earlier today, stressing that the unblocking of Croatia's accession negotiations with the European Union was a strong encouragement to the entire Southeast Europe.

Mirow said he was pleased with the ratification of the agreement and congratulated Kosor on what she had done to achieve that.
