ZAGREB, April 25 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader on Friday received the Speaker of the Canadian House of Commons, Peter Milliken.
At the talks, the two officials confirmed good relations between Croatia and Canada, adding that bilateral relations would be intensified with Croatia's joining Euro-Atlantic associations.
PM Sanader thanked Canada for the support it showed Croatia when Croatia expected to receive an invitation for NATO, and voiced conviction the two countries would continue to develop good bilateral relations.
Milliken highlighted Croatian-Canadian cooperation in peace missions, expressing conviction the cooperation would continue to develop.
Addressing the situation in the region, Milliken said Croatia was a stability factor and a good example to other countries in reform implementation and strengthening of democracy.
