ZAGREB, March 10 (Hina) - Croatia's Prime Minister held talks with Moldovan President Vladimir Voronin during his official visit to Croatia on Tuesday.
Sanader said he was pleased with the intense cooperation between the two countries, adding that this visit was one more step in the promotion of friendly relations between Moldova and Croatia. Sanader informed his guest about Croatia's European Union accession negotiations, focusing on the Slovene blockade of the process.
He said Croatia wanted the negotiating process to be separated from the long-standing border dispute with Slovenia by referring the case to the International Court of Justice in The Hague.
The talks also focused on the economic situation and anti-recession measures adopted by the Croatian government.
Voronin said his country had opted for European integration, adding that Croatia's experience in the EU integration process would be of great benefit to Moldova. Trade between Croatia and Moldova in 2008 increased by seven per cent from the previous year.
