ZAGREB, March 13 (Hina) - Croatian President Stjepan Mesic and Prime Minister Ivo Sanader on Friday held their regular weekly meeting at which they considered a report by Foreign Affairs and European integration Minister Gordan Jandrokovic on his recent talks with European Enlargement Commissioner Olli Rehn and Slovenia's Foreign Minister Samuel Zbogar on models for solving the Croatian-Slovene border issue and removing Slovenia's blockade on Croatia's EU membership talks.
Mesic and Sanader reiterated that the settlement of the problem should be based on international law, the Office of the Croatian Government, where the Mesic-Sanader meeting took place.
They considered the government's plan to revise the state budget against a backdrop of the ongoing world economic crisis and its effects on Croatia.
Mesic and Sanader also began consultations on candidates who would replace the country's ambassadors and consuls abroad whose terms had recently expired or would soon expire.
