German Chancellor Merkel congratulates Kosor on appointment as PM

ZAGREB, July 13 (Hina) - German Chancellor Angela Merkel has congratulated Croatian Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor on her appointment, wishing her luck and success in her work, the government said in a press release on Monday.

Croatia and Germany are linked as friends in many ways and wish to develop these links further, Merkel said in a statement, adding she was looking forward to cooperating with Kosor and her cabinet.

The German government explicitly pushed for Croatia's accession to NATO and will fully support Croatia's integration with the European Union, the statement said.
