ZAGREB, Oct 5 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor met the Russian Presidential Envoy to the Central Federal District, Georgy Poltavchenko, in Zagreb on Monday.
The two officials expressed satisfaction with relations between the two countries and discussed ways of improving them, notably in the energy sector.
The main topic discussed was the coming meeting between PM Kosor and her Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
Kosor and Putin had discussed bilateral cooperation at a meeting in Sopot near Gdansk on September 1, when Putin invited Kosor to pay an official visit to Russia, which she accepted.
Poltavchenko conveyed greetings from the Russian PM, saying that there were no obstacles to promoting economic cooperation between the two countries and that Russia was interested in making investments in Croatia.
The two officials also discussed ways of strengthening cooperation in the tourism sector.
