The Croatian caretaker government at its session on Thursday granted permission to a U.S. Navy ship to enter the southern Croatian port of Split at the end of this year and approved the payment of more than three million kuna for the reimbursement of costs accrued in providing for migrants.
The government granted permission to the USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75) ship to sail in Croatia's territorial waters and the port of Split in December, without giving other details regarding that decision.
It also decided to allocated HRK 3.01 million from the budget to cover the cost made in providing for migrants. The government decided to allocate EUR 382,200 to the Sarajevo Archdiocese to cover its debt with the Croatian Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
The government adopted a report on the use of budgetary reserves in October, according to which of the total of HRK 22 million, HRK 21.2 million was used to provide for refugees.
