In February, industrial production increased 4.4% on the year.
Four economic analysts polled by Hina had predicted that industrial production in March 2016 would go up 2.8% on the year on average, their predictions ranging from 2.5% to 3%.
March 2016 was the 14th consecutive month in which industrial production increased year on year, which had not been recorded since 2007, two years before a six-year recession.
In the first quarter of 2016, industrial production increased 6.8% on the year. Last year, industrial production increased 2.6% and in 2014 it increased 1.3%.
