The data show that in the first nine months of this year Croatia exported HRK 64.12 billion worth of goods, 10.5% or 6.09 billion more than in the same period last year. The commodity export growth rate was slightly lower than the one for the first eight months, when exports grew 10.9%.
In the same period Croatia imported HRK 104.5 billion worth of goods, 5.5% or HRK 5.4 billion more than in the first nine months of 2014.
The foreign trade deficit was HRK 40.4 billion, a drop of 1.6% or 663.3 million compared to the end of September 2014.
The export-import ratio was 61.3%, an increase of 2.8 percentage points from last year's 58.5%.
Exports to other EU countries in the first nine months grew 15% from the same period of 2014, reaching HRK 42.3 billion. Exports to non-EU countries grew 2.7% to HRK 21.75 billion.
Commodity imports from other EU countries totalled HRK 80.8 billion, up 8.8% from last year, while imports from non-EU countries dropped 4.5% to HRK 23.7 billion.
