Government adopts humanitarian mine clearance plan for 2013
The Croatian government on Thursday adopted a humanitarian mine clearance plan for 2013, under which it planned to have 68.1 square kilometres of land cleared of mines left over from the 1991-1995 war.

HRK 294.4 million has been approved for mine removal operations this year, and the plan provides for such operations in Virovitica-Podravina County, Krka National Park and Papuk Nature Park, Ostojic said.
Deputy Defence Minister Visnja Tafra said that the plan also provided for the removal of unexploded ordnance from military installations measuring a total of 690,000 square metres in area, which would be carried out by a Croatian Army engineers' regiment.
