The 20th anniversary of Operation Storm will be marked on two days - on 4 August, with a military parade in Zagreb, and on 5 August, when the main celebration will be held in Knin, the organising committee decided on Wednesday.

"We want to celebrate these 20 years in the best possible way. We will contact all the towns and organise celebrations in Karlovac, Gospic and Knin. It will be a celebration of our victory 20 years ago and the victory of our generals before the Hague tribunal," Defence Minister Ante Kotromanovic told the press after the committee's meeting.

Operation Storm was a combined military and police offensive that crushed a Serb insurgency in central and southern Croatia in August 1995, ending four years of occupation.
