Croatia again among EU countries with highest jump in industrial production

Croatia once again showed a strong jump in industrial production in February, with the highest increases in the EU being registered in Ireland, Lithuania, Croatia and Greece, following a sharp decline in the month before, the Eurostat statistical office reported on Tuesday.

In February 2015, seasonally adjusted industrial production in Croatia rose by 3.5% compared with January 2015. In January it plunged by four percent.

The highest increases in industrial output in February were recorded in Ireland (16.3%), Lithuania (6.1%), Croatia (3.5%) and Greece (2.5%).

The largest decreases recorded in February month-on-month were registered in Malta (1.3%), Bulgaria (0.6%) and Portugal (0.5%).

On an annual level, industrial production in the EU28 rose by 1.4% in February. In Croatia industrial production grew by 2.0% on the year following a 4.9% drop in January.
