Croatia congratulates Montenegro on receiving invitation to join NATO's MAP

ZAGREB, Dec 5 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor has congratulated her Montenegrin counterpart Milo Djukanovic on receiving an invitation for Montenegro to join NATO's Membership Action Plan (MAP).

NATO extended the invitation at a meeting of alliance foreign ministers in Brussels on Friday.

Croatia will continue, together with other allies, to provide Montenegro with advice and practical support so that it joins NATO as a full member as soon as possible, Kosor said in a letter to Djukanovic.

The Croatian government also attaches importance to the continuation of the reform process in Bosnia and Herzegovina so that this neighbouring and friendly country would be invited to join the MAP as soon as possible. As a NATO member, Croatia will continue to advocate the Euro-Atlantic integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina as a single state of three equal and constituent peoples.
