Croatia's consumption up in April for 9 months in a row

Retail trade in Croatia in April increased by 2.5% in real terms on the year, according to figures provided by the State Bureau of Statistics (DZS) which also show that retail trade has been going up for the nine consecutive month and more than expected.

According to working-day adjusted data, retail trade in April increased by 1.8% in nominal terms and by 2.5% in real terms on the year.

This is a faster growth than in March when consumption was up 1.1%.

An increase in consumption for nine months in a row has not been recorded since 2007, two years before the recession.
