Croatia's exports in January-April 2015 up 11.4%

Croatia's exports increased by 11.4 per cent in the first four months of 2015 compared with the same period of 2014, while imports went up by 5.9 per cent, according to preliminary figures issued by the National Bureau of Statistics on Thursday.

Exports amounted to HRK 27.1 billion and imports to HRK 44.8 billion, the coverage of imports by exports being 60.4 per cent.

Viewed in euros, exports totalled EUR 3.5 billion, up 11 per cent over the corresponding period of 2014, while imports rose by 5.6 per cent to EUR 5.8 billion.

The trade deficit was HRK 17.7 billion, down 1.4 per cent, or EUR 2.3 billion, down 1.7 per cent compared with the same time last year.
