Croatia's January retail sales up 2.1% y-o-y

Retail sales in Croatia in January 2015 increased by 2.1% in real terms compared with January 2014, which was the sixth month in a row that consumption had grown, a second estimate of the National Bureau of Statistics showed on Thursday.

Retail sales have been on the rise since August 2014 and the largest increase was recorded at the end of the year -- in November it was up 2.3% and in December it was 2.6% year on year.

According to working day-adjusted data, retail sales in January 2015 stagnated in nominal terms and increased by 2.1% in real terms in relation to January 2014.
