Croatia to host launch of campaign to ban corporal punishment of children

ZAGREB, June 10 (Hina) - Croatian Deputy Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor met with the Deputy Secretary-General of the Council of Europe, Maud De Boer-Buquicchio, in Strasbourg on Tuesday, to discuss the launching of a campaign to ban the corporal punishment of children, the Croatian ministry for the family, war veterans and inter-generational solidarity said in a statement.

The Croatian ministry, which is headed by Kosor, and the Council of Europe have organised the launching of the campaign in Croatia on June 15.

De Boer-Buquicchio thanked Croatia for hosting the launch of the campaign and Kosor thanked the EU official for the honour of having the campaign start in Croatia.
