Croatian Government approves two credit programmes for small businesses

The government on Wednesday approved a micro credit programme and a programme aimed at promoting investment in the equity of innovative small businesses, designed by the HAMAG BICRO agency for SMEs, innovation and investment.

The purpose of the programme "Micro Credit - The First Step into Enterprise" is to provide micro credit for newly-established companies and small businesses that have been operating for less than two years. Loans are designed for investment in fixed and working capital, and range from HRK 10,000 to 120,000.

The programme aimed at promoting investment in the equity of innovative small businesses will provide additional funding in the form of grants to businesses whose potential has been recognised by private investors. Grants will range from HRK 50,000 to 200,000.
